These are all based on the episode “One Small Step” 6x08. I think it’s been a couple weeks now since I watched it and I just can’t take any more because this is SO typical of everything wrong with Voyager. Nothing could make me care about the imaginary lost crew of a ship to Mars because yet again, the premise of the episode was a space anomaly and because, YET AGAIN, Voyager is doing something it shouldn’t even be doing but does ALL THE TIME, which is deal with some shit from the Alpha quadrant. Just, what is the fucking point of making a show about the Delta quadrant if you’re gonna do this inane shit every other episode.

Everybody is an idiot in this. Even Tuvok. And Chakotay is randomly incompetent because they never have any character development for him outside of being his own nationality or boxing with Boothby or all of a sudden going all Ahab on a mission of exploration. Seven apparently only exists to serve as a counter-argument to the writer’s dumbassery that they don’t even bother addressing, just ignoring, FOR SCIENCE!

And then the most painfully tragic line ever is spoken by Tom Paris. The lap of luxury. Is this like the writers purposely trolling everyone or are they too dumb to realize that Voyager’s biggest downfall is that it’s about a ship lost in space but has nothing to do with a ship lost in space… OH FUCK IT.
